Armon Mcray Humphrey

Armon McRay Humphrey, age 94, passed away in Snyder on Sunday, May 26th, 2024.

Family Visitation is planned for Friday, May 31st, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 2405 35th St., Snyder, Texas 79549 with Pastor Larry Mc Aden officiating and assisted by Pastor Matt Lowry. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Hillside Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Humphrey was born on May 4th, 1930 in Athens, Texas to Armon D. and Zeffie Ann (Carlisle) Humphrey. He married Audie Virginia Smith on May 9th, 1952 in Palenstine, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 24th, 2023. He was a Member and Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church. He was the owner of Sonic, since 1974.

He loved his family, watching sports and westerns, his pets, Texas Rangers and The Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by

Son, Michael Ray Humphrey and wife Kelli of Decatur, TX;

Daughter, Hope Sorensen of Lindale, TX;

3 Grandsons, Michael J. Humphrey and wife Shara of Snyder, TX, Timothy C. Humphrey and wife Lauren of Hendersonville, TN and Danny Hawkins and wife Kristal of Troup, TX;

3 Granddaughters, Audria Humphrey of Hendersonville, TN, Heather Newman and husband Matt of Whitehouse, TX and Taylor Humphrey of Bedford, TX;

12 Great-Grandchildren and his dog, Anna Bell.

He was preceded in death by Parents, Armon D. and Zeffie Ann (Carlisle) Humphrey and Wife, Audie Virginia (Smith) Humphrey.
