Apolonio Lozano Galindo 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2,2025 at his home in Snyder. Apolonio was born on April 10, 1943 in Balmorhea, Texas to Pedro Galindo and Elisa Lozano Galindo.
Visitation for Apolonio will be held on Thursday August 7th, 2025 from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel, 200 E. 37th Street Snyder, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 8th,2025 at 10:00 AM at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Albert Joseph Devanesan Officiating. Interment will be at Snyder Cemetery.
Apolonio Galindo married Teresa Thamez August 4,1996. Apolonio retired from TDCJ in 2009, in Snyder Texas. He worked hard to be a good provider, taught his children to have a strong work ethic, to be humble, love each other and most importantly to love God. Family was important, he made an extra effort to stay in touch, traveling or calling his many immediate, extended and blended family members and friends. He was kind and respectful to all, loved and was loved by all regardless of relation. He enjoyed relaxing at home with his wife, watching westerns, while drinking coffee and eating sweets. He loved shiny things and liked his shoes shined up for work where they were like glass, he liked his cars nice and clean and old ones at that, he said they still had a lot of life left in them.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Galindo of Snyder, Tx, his sister Perfecta Galindo of Hobbs, NM, his 4 daughters Debbie Chavez and Danny of Lubbock, Tx, Mary E. Oldenberger of St. Louis, MO, Anita Galindo of Lubbock, Tx, Sonia Jaramillo and Ricky of Lubbock, Tx, One son Anthony Galindo and Kathryn of Snyder, TX,Two step-daughters Nancy Steelman and Michael of Snyder, TX, Lisa Thamez and Ragnar of Alabama, Two step-sons Joey Thamez of Snyder, TX, and Douglas Thamez and Theresa of Snyder, TX. 20 grand children and 33 great-grand children, and one great- great- grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his father Pedro Galindo and mother Elisa Lozano Galindo, one brother Jesus Galindo, two sons Apolonio Galindo Jr., Fabian Galindo. One grandson Anthony J. Austin, one step-son Robert Thamez and one step-daughter Sandy Huddleston.
