Alicia Salinas Ruiz, 93, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 in Midland, surrounded by her loved ones.

Services for Mrs. Ruiz will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Bernardito Getigan, of Our Lady of Perpetual in Ozone, Tx., officiating. Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery in Abilene. A rosary will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Ruiz​ was born August 1, 1923 in San Diego, Tx to Gayetano and Alela (Lopez) Salinas. She married Ricardo Ruiz in 1958 in Snyder, Tx.

She was well known for her social life and enjoyed dancing, taking walks and caring for her cats. She was diligent in her prayer life and attended mass every week. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Her favorite phrase when she called everyone, "chulo Presioso y Dios los Bendiga." A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother; she will truly be missed.
