Obituary for Ronald Lee Forbes

Ronald Lee Forbes, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 27th, 2022.

Family Visitation is planned for Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 1st, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel, 200 E. 37th Street, Snyder, Texas 79549 with Mr. Leonard Harper officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Dunn Cemetery, Dunn, Texas.

Ronny was born on December 16th, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas to L.F. and Latrece (Byrd) Forbes. He graduated from Westbrook High School in 1962 and attended one year at Howard County Junior College in Big Spring, Texas before marrying the love of his life on November 30th, 1963, in Colorado City, Texas. He went on to do custom harvesting with his family. He worked for almost 20 years as a security guard for Pantex near Amarillo, Texas, then moved to Craig, Colorado where he and his wife managed apartments until moving to Snyder, Texas in March of this year, where he enjoyed his retirement. He was passionate about hunting and enjoyed golf and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his
Wife of 58 years, Jimmie Lou Forbes of Snyder, TX;
Son, Robby Lynn Forbes of Cuero, TX;
Daughter, Stacy Lee Wheeler and husband Walter of Steamboat Springs, CO;
Grandchildren,, Crystal Johnson and husband Jerry of Steamboat Springs, CO, Christopher Forbes of Boerne, TX, Hailey Odom and husband Jack of Abilene, TX and Sarah Forbes of Amarillo, TX;
Brother, Darrell Forbes of Panhandle, TX;
2 Sisters, Twana Sullins and husband Dan of Cleveland, TX and Betty Anthony and husband Charles of Cleveland, TX;
Ronny's Aunt, Virginia Wade of Snyder, TX;
and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by Parents, L.F. and Latrece (Byrd) Forbes.
