Phillis Gene Leatherwood, age 69, passed away in Snyder on Friday, February 25th, 2022.
Family Visitation is planned for Monday, February 28th, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at 10:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 2405 35th St. Snyder, Texas 79549 with Rev. Larry Mc Aden officiating and assisted by Pastor Matt Lowry. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Snyder Cemetery.
Mrs. Leatherwood was born on September 14th, 1952 in Wolfe City, Texas to William and Lillian (Childers) Cearley. She married Jackie Leatherwood on July 11, 1970, in Hermleigh, Texas. She was a 1972 graduate of Snyder High School, worked as a Teacher's Aide and Bus Driver for Snyder I.S.D. for over 20 years. A member of Calvary Baptist Church and T.O.P.S. officer and member.
She is survived by
Husband, Jackie Leatherwood of Snyder, TX;
2 Sons, Terry Leatherwood and wife Barbara of Snyder, TX and Craig Leatherwood and wife Haley of Snyder, TX;
2 Grandsons, Jake Leatherwood of Wichita Falls, TX and Tuff Leatherwood of Snyder, TX;
Granddaughter, Megan Leatherwood of Abilene, TX;
3 Brothers, Raymond Cearley of Snyder, TX, Robby Cearley of Snyder, TX and Jerry Cearley of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico
and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by Parents William and Lillian Cearley and Sister, Dellene Leatherwood.
