Melba Jean Surratt, age 77, passed away on Saturday, December 12th, 2020.
No Visitation planned. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Snyder Cemetery with Mr. Billy Johnson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Surratt was born on November 5th, 1943 in Sundown, Texas to James Jr. and Jackline (Phillips) Nance. She married Damon Johnson on Nov. 11th, 1961, he preceded her in death February 1981. She married Morris Surratt on June 18th, he preceded her in death on February 2009. She loved her Grandbabies, animals, crocheting and needlepointing.
She is survived by
2 Sons, Damon Johnson and wife Ann of Snyder, TX, David Johnson and wife Fay of Snyder, TX;
2 Daughters, Sherry Early and husband Robert of Snyder, TX and Helen Ann Dodson and husband Alvin of Snyder, TX;
10 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren
Twin Sister, Nelda Davis of Corsicana, TX;
2 Brothers, David Nance and wife Liz of Hobbs, NM and Ron Nance and spouse John of Lubbock, TX.
She was preceded in death by Parents, James Jr. and Jackline (Phillips) Nance; Husbands, Damon Johnson and Morris Surratt; and Brother, James Nance.
