Kerrie "Sissy" Lynn Whelchel, age 53, passed away on Monday, February 14th, 2022.

Family Visitation is planned for Thursday, February 17th, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 18th, 2022 at 10:00 am at Ira Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Moore officiating and assisted by Rev. McJohn Bagley. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Ira Cemetery.

Sissy was born on October 30th, 1968 in Abilene, Texas to Joe Cruz and Lynda McClure. She loved The Texas Rangers and to sing at church.

She is survived by

Father, Joe Cruz and wife Judy of The Metroplex;
Brother, McJohn Bagley, Ho Seattle, WA;
Step-Brother, Jeremiah McClure and wife Christine, Heath, TX;
Step-Sister, Tandy Groves and husband Nathan, Tulsa, OK;
3 Aunts, Kaye Dearman of Abilene, TX, Mary Marshall of Abilene, TX and Vickie Jett and husband Jamie of Oklahoma City, OK;
Uncle, David McClure and wife Sandra of Odessa, TX;
a host of Cousins including Denise James, Vanessa Dearman and Rachel Dearman, all of Abilene, TX.

She was preceded in death by Grandmother, Mildred Wilson
