Obituary for Karol Lynn Brumbelow
Surrounded by family, Karol Lynn Brumbelow, age 58, left her earthy home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
Family and friends will be available and hold a visitation on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel from 5-7pm. A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM at Northside Baptist Church in Snyder, Texas with her cousin Sonny Garman officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery.
Karol was born on Thursday, January 10, 1963 in Gorman, Texas to Carl and Jean Blackwell. She grew up in Hamilton, Texas and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1981. On August 1, 1998, she married her soulmate Mitchell Brumbelow in Snyder, Texas. Karol loved, beyond measure, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Having a caring heart, Karol was a devoted nurse and served her patients, in many locations, for 23 years until finally retiring. She enjoyed rock n’ roll music, dancing, working in her yard and rose gardens at all hours, and was an avid “rockhound” rock collector with a surplus collection, and adored nature. Loving her dogs was second nature and they were always together. She enjoyed going to her sisters’ houses and hanging out reminiscing and canning like old times. Karol had a passion for helping others and being there when needed. She could always be found enjoying a nice Sci-Fi show, sleeping, creatively fixing something, or pranking someone, especially her sons Michael and Devin. In recent years, she was blessed with the title of “Memaw” and adored her granddaughter Paisley Jean, who she became very close to.
Carrying on with her legacy is her Husband, Mitchell Brumbelow of Snyder, Texas; Two sons, Michael Brumbelow and Devin Blackwell of Snyder, Texas; One Granddaughter, Paisley Blackwell of Snyder, Texas; Two sisters, Kay Hopper and Husband Michael, Karla Gardner and Husband Randy, all of Hamilton, Texas; Lifelong best friend Kathleen Windham of Jonesboro, Texas; Niece, Kimberly Gardner of Hamilton, Texas; Nephews, Aaron Gardner and his children, Cooper and Brooklyn and Kyle Zschiesche and wife Ruth and their child, Grace all of Hamilton, Texas; Cousins, Randy Keller, as well as Robert and Xandy Ballard of Snyder, Texas; Her two little dogs, “Little Bitty” and “Sugar”.
Preceding her in death were her Father Carl Blackwell and Mother Jean Blackwell, Mother-in-law Mavis Brumbelow, Father-in-law Kenneth Brumbelow, Sister-in-law Lynne Pickett, and two little dogs “Tazz” and “Little Girl”.
