Obituary for Jesse Medellin Salazar

Jesse M. Salazar, age 73, passed away in Lubbock on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023.

Family Visitation is planned for Friday, March 3rd, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at 11:00 am at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel, 200 E. 37th Street, Snyder, Texas 79549 with Rev. John Salazar officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Snyder Cemetery.

Mr. Salazar was born on December 16th, 1949 in Brownsville, Texas to Aurelio and Dolores (Medellin) Salazar.
He married Manuela Medrano on April 15th, 1970 in Colorado City, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 21, 1986. He was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy, in Big Spring, Texas, He loved his family, reading his Bible, fishing, playing the guitar and bass, The Dallas Cowboys and The San Antonio Spurs.

He is survived by
2 Daughters, Sharon Rodriguez and husband Joe of Midland, TX and Mary Salazar Arocha of San Antonio, TX;
Son, Jesse Salazar, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK;
7 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren;
3 Brothers, Aurelio Salazar, Jr. and wife Kelly of Big Spring, TX, John Salazar and wife Carol of Peridot, AZ and Abel Salazar of San Antonio, TX;
3 Sisters, Lupe Liedecke of Sand Springs, TX, Mary Villanueva and husband Angel of San Antonio, TX and Sara Redwine and husband Jamie of Colorado City, TX;
and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by Parents, Aurelio and Dolores (Medellin) Salazar; Wife, Manuela Salazar, Daughter, Mary Helen Salazar; 3 Brothers, Paul Salazar, Mariano Salazar and Rocky Salazar and Sister, Esther Tobar.
