I was so saddened to learn of Bill’s illness & passing. I was his sister-in-law for 18 years. Though ways parted & many, many years have passed since I have seen or talked to Bill, I have fond memories of him. Bill was a kind, gentle person who loved his family & I know he was loved in return. He accepted me as if I was his own sister. I remember inside jokes & his light heartiness. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. My deepest sympathies to Ron, Matt, Shirley, David & Madison. May God give you comfort & peace. I have faith that Bill is rejoicing with Jesus.

George “Bill as I have always known him. We met in 7th grade in band class. He played trumpet and I played clarinet. We have been friends ever sense. He has been a great friend. A person I could turn to for prayer support. Or an ear to listen. We shared some of each other’s ups and downs. A great friend to have. Loved him like a brother. I will miss him greatly. Your friend Morgan Avery.

Bill and I have been friends since 1988 or 89, having met at the OC Register. I used to call him George Bill. I'll never forget his sense of humor, his love for Drum Corp and marching bands, and of course his love and devotion for God. I am so grateful our friendship spanned the years, continuing after he moved to TX. My heart goes out to his family, and all who loved and knew Bill. He had this uncanny way of going out to the public, meeting strangers, and striking up the greatest conversations, not just about God, but life in general. My sincerest condolences to the family. RIP Bill. Love you forever
