Donny Ray Emerson, age 50, passed away in Colorado City on Thursday, September 15th, 2022.

Family Visitation is planned for Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel, 423 E. 17th St., Colorado City, Texas 79512. Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Colorado City, Texas 301 Chestnut St. Colorado City, Texas 79512 with Rev. Jessie Hooper officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Mitchell County Cemetery.

Mr. Emerson was born on October 15th, 1971 in Colorado City, Texas to L.J. and Francis (Emerson) McGuire. He loved cooking, dogs and The Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by
Daughter, Desire Emerson of Sweetwater, TX;
Son, Nicholas Emerson, of Sweetwater, TX;
Parents, L.J. and Francis McGuire of Colorado City, TX;
2 Brothers, Bobby Emerson of Big Spring, TX and Chris Green of San Angelo, TX; 3 Sisters, Betty Williams and husband Isaiah of Sweetwater, TX, Barbara Annette Emerson of Snyder, TX and Rosland Green of Colorado City, TX;
and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by Grandmother, Oletha Gibson and 3 Brothers, Jerry Lynn Emerson, Anthony Rey Emerson and James Wilford Emerson.
