Obituary for Don Taylor
Don Taylor, 74, passed away December 6, 2021.
Don was born February 22, 1947 in Snyder, Tx to Jacquelyn Chorn.
Don was a graduate of Hermleigh School.
In 1965, He won Texas State Track meet by winning 1st place in the 120 yd high hurdles and 180 yd low hurdles in 19.6 seconds, accomplishing a state meet record. Don served in the Navy during the Vietnam era and afterwards was a postal letter carrier for many years where he won many awards for his service.
He is survived by his daughters Emilee Suchil and Stacey Taylor. Four grandchildren, brother Joe Taylor and wife Karen, sister Mary Hardin, sister's son Micah Joe Smith, uncle Granville Chorn and wife Annice. 3 nieces.
He is preceded in death by his mother, sister Jane Taylor, grandparents Virginia and GE Chorn and brother in law John Hardin.
