Daniel Christopher Winn, age 45, was called home to our Lord and Savior on May 5th, 2022 in Snyder, Texas.

Daniel was born March 12, 1977 to Dana Winn (Davidson) Fleming and Allen Richard Winn in Hobbs, NM. He was a long-time resident of Sulphur Springs, TX where he met and married Jaclyn (Dickey) Winn in June of 1999. Daniel had recently moved to Ira, TX and was already making a positive impact in our small community.

Daniel enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, scouting, camping, and gardening. He was a member of the Crow’s Nest Singers group and traveled to Native American Pow-Wows to play the drum and sing with his group. Members of this group became like brothers to him. Although Daniel had no children of his own, he enjoyed spending time and sharing his love of the outdoors with his nieces and nephews. He had a passion for the Boy Scouts of America and was very proud to guide his nephew, Johnathan Johnson, who was like a son to him, through the Boy Scouts and watch him rise to the rank Eagle Scout. Even with his disability, Daniel was very independent and did not hesitate to help others if he was able. He loved to share his knowledge with others.

Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Dana and Randle Fleming of Ira, TX; his father and step-mother, Richard and Heather Winn of Pine Grove, PA; sister Jennifer Seward and husband Ricky of Diana, TX; sister Nikki White and husband Joe of Azle, TX; brother Wayne Fleming and wife Julie of Salem, OR; sister Cati Patrick and husband Trey of Ira, TX and sisters Audrey Winn of Jersey City, NJ and Hannah Winn of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation is scheduled for Daniel on Sunday, May 15th from 6pm – 7pm at Miller Funeral Home in Snyder, Texas. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16th at 10:00am also at Miller Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 3:00 pm (NM time) at Prairie Haven Memorial in Hobbs, New Mexico where Daniel wished to be interred near his grandparents and great-grandparents.
