Obituary for Clorette Faulkenberry (Brown)

Clorette Brown Faulkenbery (Granny) was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

Family Visitation is planned for Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral Graveside Services will be on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 at 10:00 am at Hobbs Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Faulkenbery was born on October 15th, 1925 in Paris, Texas to Bert Brown, Sr. and Georgia Brown. She moved to Richmond, California, where she met J.D. Faulkenbery. They moved back to Texas and she married J. D. Faulkenbery, Jr. on August 1, 1940. They were married until his Death in 1967.

To all who knew her, she was a strong minded independent individual. She liked sewing, cooking, crafting and gardening. One of her all-time favorite hobbies was sewing blankets or clothes for her grandchildren. Granny Clo loved listening to her son preach and talk about Jesus.

3 Grandsons, Marc Faulkenbery and wife Jennifer of Houston, TX, Paul Faulkenbery and wife Sherry of Snyder, TX and Stephen Faulkenbery and wife Jennifer of Clyde, TX

6 Great-Grandchildren, Jordyn, Rachel, Bailey, Ryan, Austin and Natalie

Niece, Rita House

She was preceded in death by Father, Bert Brown, Sr; Step-Father, Eugene Duke; Mother, Georgia Duke, Husband, J.D. Faulkenbrry; 2 Brothers, Bert (Sonny) Brown, Jr. and Orville Brown; Son, Jesse Denver Faulkenbery II and her daughter, Sheila (Tedes) Clorette Faulkenbery.
